The IDFPA Policy on Drug Abuse and Control
The Association condemns the dangers of strength inducing drugs, including anabolic steroids, natural hormones, or stimulants etc. The Association offers life-time natural athletes the opportunity to develop and compete in a drug-free environment. The list of banned substances is decided by the Association, and includes the World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation list. This association pursues a policy of in- and out-of-competition drug testing. Any member found guilty of having ever promoted the use of, dealt in, or ingested banned substances will be expelled (subject to a right of appeal).
Covenant and Release from Liability
(Read this carefully. When you sign it you will be giving up important legal rights.)
I solemnly and voluntarily enter into a covenant with the Irish Drug Free Powerlifting Association to uphold the above policy. I agree to review the list of banned substances, and consult the Association regarding any doubtful food additives, supplements, and prescribed medicines etc. I agree to submit to any physical tests necessary to complete drug tests, administered by the Association, or any agency agreed by the Association. I agree that any method of drug testing decided by the Association shall be conclusive. Should I fail to pass a drug test, I agree to waive any claim that might arise under state law for defamation, slander, libel, or any other claim for which legal relief is available.
